Transformation City Church is a family rooted in the love of God and dedicated to seeing lives and our city transformed. Our goal is raising up a mature church, though not yet perfect, who press on in His grace to be more like Christ in character, prayer and in power with a passion to walk out the great commission seeing the lost saved and God's love to be manifest in signs, wonders and miracles.

We believe we are living in important times and trusting for the church to understand its  role to be like Jesus in compassion, character and power revealing the goodness of God to a world hungry for the authentic. We welcome you to join us in this adventure!

Leadership Bio

Chris Nancy Whiteley.jpg

Chris and Nancy Whiteley lead Transformation City Church, a new church launched in October 2017. Together they have a passion to see lives transformed through the love and power of Jesus Christ and to see the Church preach the gospel of the Kingdom with signs and wonders following as promised in the Word of God. Their desire is to see the whole body operating in their call, gifting and wholeness and for the lost to be saved.

While Chris is originally from South Africa, Nancy is a native Chicagoan.

Chris currently is, and for the last 20 years, working in the banking industry in Chicago. Nancy worked in media until they started a family and now does freelance work.  They have 3 teen kids who are busy working their way through junior high and high school.

Over the years they’ve served in many leadership roles, most recently serving on the pastoral/leadership team at Church in the City for 7 years.  They felt called to plant a church and have now embarked on this adventure with Jesus to start a new church in the UIC, Little Italy, and West Loop area of our great city, Chicago.

Chris and Nancy have been used in corporate prayer, prophetic, healing, deliverance and inner healing and also provide teaching and training in these areas. Nancy is also a worship leader.

Chris and Nancy believe in living connected and accountable lives and working with and honoring apostolic gifts Jesus has given for building up the church. They are members of the Bethel Leaders Network, which is a part of Global Legacy. They also have relationships within New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI).
